Remembering and Celebrating The Life of
Ada Shalev-Barzilai
More than a life, really.... a celebration of color and sounds as embraced through the world of this wonderful human being.

About Ada:
On February 28, 2026 we lost our beloved Ada.... When she died, a magical being left the earth. Ada was love, light, sounds, color, music. She loved the abstract and lived in a cloud. She was a sweet, innocent child, a caring mother and grandmother, a generous, curious spirit.
Ada was a traveler; travel was her form of inertia. By a turn of cosmic good fate, she spent the last three weeks of her life in motion; with countless adventures and many pleasures. She ate chocolate covered cherries and fresh sourdough bread with creamy Dutch butter, listened to classical music performed live and saw humans dance brilliantly. More than once she told us how alive she felt. She longed for peace. The only thing she despised was war. She loved people and they loved her back. She made friends everywhere and charmed then with her childlike spell. She was a celebration of life itself.
We lost a phenomenal woman! We will deeply miss you Ada (also known as Ima and Safta) She was a shining light in this world always being her true beautiful strong and determined self. You were such an inspiration to everyone you met along your journeys across the world in all the places you have traveled and lived. You always saw the good in the world may it be through music, culture, art, or the people you encountered. We were so lucky to have you in our lives and share such wonderful and beautiful memories together. ❤️
